Japanese silver Daikoku's mallet worked in gilt and shakudo with a kagi, the key that opens the treasure house of the Gods, bearing the mark Ginsei 銀製 (pure silver), tied with a silk tassel, Shōwa period circa 1950.
Daikoku 大黒, the God of wealth and good fortune is always happy and good humoured. He often carries a mallet which can grant wishes and a treasure sack which he carries over the shoulder.
